Glenmore Luncheon Club

The Luncheon Club meets at the Glenmore Centre every Monday between 10am and 2pm.

Most of the members are transported to and from the Centre by the Shepshed Special Community Bus. The group is for local elderly people who live on their own and have few opportunities to get out and meet other people.

The members have tea and biscuits, a chat and a game of dominoes, followed by a home cooked meal. After lunch the members enjoy a game of bingo and a raffle before returning home.

The members are also taken out for lunch several times a year. Last year they went to The Truck Stop for Christmas and The Plough at Normanton for Easter. They also went on a trip to Ulverscroft Manor in August.

It costs just £3.50 per week to attend the club plus £1.50 for the bus. Bingo and raffle tickets are available at a small extra cost.

 *************

A huge thank you must be given to all the volunteers who run the club and provide a welcoming and enjoyable place for the Members to attend.

The volunteers do a fantastic job and it would not be possible to run the group without them. Our volunteers are not trained carers and as such we are unable to take people that have additional needs.

This club is currently full and has a waiting list.
